Eucalyptus :
Eucalyptus incense is widely used to relieve the symptoms of respiratory congestion. Incense with a combination of peppermint and eucalyptus essential oils can also help dilute sputum and dilate the airways and make breathing easier in patients with chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Eucalyptus is an expectorant and has been approved by the German E Commission for coughs and bronchitis. In vitro antiviral activity of water-soluble components of Eucalyptus essential oil against influenza type A has been identified.

Thyme Shirazi:
Thymol and carvacrol have been shown to have a wide range of effects against bacteria involved in upper respiratory tract infections. Thymol and carvacrol in thyme exert their antibacterial activity by forming complexes with bacterial membrane proteins. Adequate doses of thymol and carvacrol also have a tracheal relaxation effect. Commission E has approved the use of thyme for the treatment of cough and bronchitis. Thyme relieves bronchial obstruction and is an expectorant and has antibacterial and antiviral effects.

Plant case:
In Germany, physicians prescribe a medicinal product containing essential oil (Gelomyrtol) as a laxative and mucolytic sputum for patients with acute and chronic bronchitis and sinusitis. Chronic airway obstruction has been proven. The essential oil contains limonene, cineole, and alpha-pinene. Monoterpenes and quasi-terpenes in essential oils have antibacterial, antifungal and antiseptic effects. In animal in vivo, the essential oils of the case plants, thyme and artichoke have completely neutralized the avian influenza and Newcastle virus to a dilution of 1/256.

Menthol:
Menthol has a surfactant-like effect in in vitro studies and has reduced surface tension between climates in vivo, thereby improving lung compliance. The results of animal studies indicate the effect of menthol as an antitussive in coughs caused by chemicals. Based on existing experience, menthol helps to facilitate breathing during a cold. This is indicated by the general use of menthol-containing products such as topical nasal decongestants, lozenges, ointments and incense.
