Treatment of Vaginal Barrage Vaginal Infection Many women experience menopausal symptoms after the fourth decade of their life. For more than half a century, in postmenopausal women, the combination of estrogens with progestins, or hormone replacement therapy (HRT), has had beneficial effects on menopausal symptoms and osteoporosis, but recent clinical studies have questioned whether it is safe for the cardiovascular system. Have also been suggested to increase the risk of breast cancer.

Menopause is associated with a significant reduction in endogenous estrogen production, vaginal atrophy, and its symptoms such as dryness, burning and itching of the vagina, painful intercourse, decreased libido, and recurrent urinary tract infections generally reduce quality of life. Until 1990, the most common treatment for vaginal atrophy was oral HRT, but due to the systemic side effects of this procedure, topical estrogen treatment was considered, although in long-term use, side effects are still a concern.

Estrogen deficiency can lead to changes in the vagina and can occur in any of the following situations: menopause and beyond, postpartum, breastfeeding, taking hormonal products (birth control pills), and during chemotherapy.
Herbal products are becoming increasingly popular as a natural and safe alternative to HRT used during menopause. In clinical studies, the effectiveness of hops, which is an antioxidant and contains plant estrogens, in reducing the symptoms of vaginal atrophy in postmenopausal women has been investigated.
Phytoestrogen is called Prenylnaringenin and is 8 times stronger than other phytoestrogens and has the ability to bind to both estrogen receptors ERα and ERβ in the body.
Prolonged exposure to estrogen, including HRT, increases the risk of breast cancer. The two main mechanisms of cancer are estrogen signaling (hormonal pathway) and estrogen metabolism to reactive kinins (chemical pathway). Studies have shown the potential protective role of hops in helping to reduce the risk of breast cancer by modulating estrogen metabolism.
